Wild Meat emerges as entrepreneurship of Bolivian Leathers & Food, dedicated to tanning and exportation of caiman cocodrilus yacare skins since 1999; activities developed in the frame of a National Program for the Sustainable Use of Caiman yacare.
The Beni region, in the hart of Bolivia due to its geographic and climatic conditions is a natural habitat for caimans and for the promotion of sustainable development projects and also because of the active involvement of many actors such as indigenous communities, peasants and cattle owners and also companies dedicated to leather tanning and meat processing.
The company’s entrepreneurship derives from the intention of making a better utilization of the caiman through meat processing and thus, contributing to Bolivian exportations of non-traditional products, job openings and foreign currency returning to the country, all of them in the frame of a sustainable development policy of Bolivian biodiversity resources.
Being consequent with this long scope vision, Bolivian Leathers & Food has implemented the WILD MEAT Food Company for the processing of high quality caiman meat cuts for exportation complying with high quality standards and Food Safety Assurance Systems including HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices).
We are a young and enterprising company, prepared to face the challenge of sustainable development.
